Music plays an important part in many of the special services held throughout the year. In celebrations of the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost there are opportunities to take in the variety and meaningful expression of music.
Service of Taizé
Taizé is a moving candlelight worship service of the Word, with meditative live music, singing, silence, scripture and prayer. Taizé finds its origin in an ecumenical Christian monastic order from Taizé, France, which expresses strong devotion to peace and justice through prayer and meditation. Attending the Taizé service at Good Shepherd is a unique experience that will certainly enhance your Lenten spiritual journey.
At Good Shepherd, this service is held on Good Friday, in the evening.
