"We Have A Place For You."
Jesus Christ taught us to live life with two great purposes:
...Love God and each other greatly (The Great Commandment), and
...Bring other people into God's community of faith, the Church (The Great Commission).
As we seek to live out this vision, we remember two basic tenets of life at Good Shepherd:
First, "We have a place for you!"
We are a parish that seeks other people to join us. We are a welcoming community and we invite each person who is here, and all who will come here, to fellowship and participation in our parish life.
Second, our Parish Prayer provides us with guidance:
Almighty and everlasting God, make our parish of Good Shepherd truly a community of prayer and belonging. Raise up in our midst the resources and leadership which will enable us to act upon what you would have us do, in this place and in a ministry of love and concern for others. Open my mind and heart to discern what you would have me do; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
